Stroryline: Raja (Jackie Shroff) is a small-time smuggler. His sweetheart, Priya (Manisha Koirala) does not approve of this, and convinces him to give up his smuggling activities, and turn the information over to the police. He does so, only to find that he has been framed for a murder he did not commit. When he decides to entrust himself to the justice of the courts, he is convicted of murder and sentenced in jail. In jail he encounters more problems, and needs all his wits to stay alive. Back to Priya, Raja’s former smuggling colleagues, including corrupt police officers are openly harassing her, and no one seems to be able to look after her. Raja must get out of jail to find out who has framed him, and who is the king-pin behind the smuggling ring. But will the authorities let Raja out of jail that easily?

Criminal (1995)

Stroryline: After witnessing the unfortunate death of a woman, who was unable to afford hospital treatment, Dr. Ajay Kumar cancels his U.S. immigration and instead sets out to work a plan to open a hospital that will be accessible to people who cannot afford treatment in regular hospitals, called “Amma People’s Hospital”. This draws quite an attention, and he becomes popular, especially with two young women, Shweta and Sub-Inspector Ramya. He falls in love with Shweta and both get married, breaking Ramya’s heart in the process. Shortly thereafter Shweta gets pregnant, much to their delight. Then one night, Ramya gets a distress call from Shweta, who calls the police for help as she is being attacked, and names the attacker as “Ajay”. The police arrive to find her dead body and arrest Ajay for murder. It seems that Ajay’s motive for killing Shweta was for money, as Shweta is a wealthy heiress. Ajay is convicted and sentenced to death. While being transported to prison, the police van meets with an accident and Ajay escapes. The police launch a manhunt for him, but are unable to catch him. Ajay secrets meets with Ramya and tells her that he did not kill Shweta, and he wants her help to catch the real killer. Will Ramya believe him, or is he just making up a story to justify his escape from facing the death penalty?

Aaghaaz (2000)

Stroryline: Honest, upright, young and handsome Govind Narang falls in love with a young woman named Sudha. But due to circumstances in the occurrence of an unknown pregnancy by a police man, Govind is forced to marry Pushpa, Masterji’s daughter, since the police man refuse to marry her. All is well for Govind after the marriage but not with Pushpa and her hot-headed brother Laxman as they learn about Govind’s old relationship with Sudha, they trys to throw her out of the village but to no avil as she is now a police officer. When Laxman finds out about Pushpa’s infidelity, he poisons her, and she soon passed away. Seeing his wife dead and to wash away his past Govind and his sister, Rattna now relocates to Bombay in an area called Azad Nagar. He soon reaches up with super-star Gitika, and both fell in love. Azad Nagar residents has always been fared by Johnny and his brother Danny Handsome. One day Govind attempts to defend the right of a young woman and he seriously beats up Danny. When Johnny attempts revenge from Govind, he is humiliated, shaved and striped naked on the outskirts of Bombay by Govind and other residents. Johnny soon recruits two foreigners: Sadanana Kutty and Karim Khan Toofani in order to average his humiliation. Govind also attempts to help hawkers and Sole Traders and so befriends a savior, Ram Shevak and decides to build a market for them in order for them to put up there businesses. Soon it was found out that the plot of land and the owner were fakes and Govind gets all the blame and is called a fraud. He goes with the help of Ram Shevak to find out why he is called names and witnessed his sister being raped openly and he himself is beaten up and badly injured infront of the same residents whom he pitied and try to save. The questions remain: Will Govind ever recover to take revenge on his perpetrators? Will he be granted justice by anyone in Azad Nagar?

Hera Pheri (2000)

Stroryline: Ghanshyam “Shyam” (Sunil Shetty) comes to Bombay from a small village to claim a job with a bank that employed his late father, Sunderlal, who was killed while the bank caught fire several years. According to rules and regulations, the bank must hire him in his father’s place. Competing with him is the daughter of yet another employee, who was also killed in the fire, Anuradha Shivshankar Panikar (Tabu). Shyam rooms with a myopic but kind-hearted garage owner, Baburao Apte (Paresh Rawal), who has also rented another of his rooms’ to Raju (Akshaye Kumar), who dreams of making it big in the city but is currently broke and unable to pay rent for several months now. Shyam has come to the city so that he can return Rs.35000/- he borrowed from Kharak Singh (Om Puri), who in turn needs the money to get his sister married. Baburao needs money to pay off his debtors. And to add to this chaos, Baburao keeps on getting a series of wrong numbers on his telephone, asking for Deviprasad. One day he gets a call from Kabira (Gulshan Grover) who demands a ransom from Baburao, thinking it is Deviprasad (Kulbhushand Kharbanada). The trio decide to “liase” between the victim’s dad and the kidnappers, and keep some of the money for themselves. Murphy’s Law prevails, and things get even more hilariously chaotic, as the trio are on the run from Kabeera; the police; more wrong numbers; and Kharak Singh.

In course of one of the many parties he attends, he meets Tina, a ballet dancer. For Monty, its love at first sight. But, Tina returns home immediately, after leaving Monty fretting. That’s when things start to change.
