But the official police investigator of the case Inspector Kedar Phadke (Arbaaz Khan) clashes incessantly with Sanjay as both of them, separately, delve deeper into the case. Stroryline: Rang de Basanti’ is a film about awakening. About standing up for ones beliefs. Where the spirit of rebellion transcends time and age. A young idealistic English filmmaker, Sue, arrives in India to make a film on Indian revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad and their contemporaries and their fight for freedom from the British Raj. Owing to a lack of funds, she recruits students from Delhi University to act in her docu-drama. She finds DJ, who passed out five years back but still wants to be a part of the University because he doesn’t think there’s too much out there in the real world to look forward to. Karan, the son of Industrialist Rajnath Singhania, who shares an uncomfortable relationship with his father, but continues to live off him, albeit very grudgingly. Aslam, is a middle class Muslim boy, who lives in the by-lanes near Jama Masjid, poet, philosopher and guide to his friends. Sukhi, the group’s baby, innocent, vulnerable and with a weakness for only one thing – girls. Laxman Pandey, the fundamentalist in the group, the only one who still believes that politics can make the world a better place and finally Sonia – the sole girl in the group, tomboy and vivacious spirit, engaged to Ajay – the dashing air pilot. These youngsters could be anyone of us today and their lives mirror the kind of lives the youth of today lead – namely a self centered and materialistic existence where ideas like patriotism and making a change are strictly the stuff history books are made of. Through her film, Sue wishes to showcase to the world the efforts of these young revolutionaries and the enormity of their contribution to the freedom movement in India. What unfolds is the inspiration behind Sue’s passion for bringing their story to the world. The twist in the tale is of course the fact that more than just telling the world, Sue’s film makes DJ and his friends stop and stare at themselves for being the actual descendants of these great men and never recognizing and celebrating their courage and spirit. The film thus doubles as a narrative on the changes in perspective and values the young boys and girls acting in her documentary go through as they shoot for the film. Few scenes from the past and present are juxtaposed against each other, which renders a unique slick treatment, which serves to showcase the slow change in mindset and attitude that overcomes the group through the process of the film. ‘Rang de Basanti’ is a youthful drama, yet light hearted in the moments that the group shares amongst themselves… before some incidents effect a serious change…which ends in the climax.

Stroryline: Imagine being one of the most successful businessmen in the country. Sanjay Singhania (Aamir) is a rich businessman who owns a cellular phone company. Kalpana (Asin) is a model who brags to her friends and peers that she is the love interest of Sanjay, though in reality she doesn’t even know the man.

When Sanjay comes to know about this anonymous admirer of his, he decides to dispel her delusions. But on his way he sees a beautiful woman helping the handicapped kids cross the road. Instantly, Sanjay falls for her. Later, he comes to know that she is Kalpana, the same model who boasted of being his girlfriend.

Sanjay gets introduced to Kalpana but doesn’t disclose his real identity. Love blossoms between the two.

While on a train ride, Kalpana saves a group of young girls from a rowdy bunch of eve-teasing goons. A few days later, the same group of eve teasers, led by their notorious head (Pradeep Rawat) close in on Kalpana. But Sanjay arrives and fights them. In the ensuing scuffle, Kalpana is killed and Sanjay is hit on his head with an iron rod.

Though Sanjay is able to survive the injury, he loses his memory. He gets only flashbacks of what really happened and his short memory makes it difficult to remember things he did just minutes back.

How this man, who can’t even remember the killers of his ladylove, goes about taking his revenge is what the remaining story is about. Jiah Khan plays a medical student who helps Sanjay find the killers.

On the occasion of his sister giving birth, he returns home to find that a conflict arise between his neighbor hood and another neighbor hood where he seek refuge in a dwelling area nearby only to return and find out that his whole family has been murder. Without no aim left in life Narasimha decided to turn to crime and alcohol. He later decided to work for a man call Suraj Narayan Singh. But when Suraj asks him to kill Ravi Rastogi for falling in love with his daughter, Meenu. Narasimha refuses, and on the contrary joins forces with Ravi, his sister, Anita, to force Suraj to get the young couple married. This kind of conflict escalates to such proportions that Suraj finally gets arrested and lodged in a cell. Everything seems clear for Ravi and Meenu to get married, but Meenu wants proof that her dad is a criminal, and she gives Ravi 24 hours to find proof or she will marry the boy of her dad’s choice. And ruin everything and every plans between them.

Stroryline: Honest, upright, young and handsome Govind Narang falls in love with a young woman named Sudha. When Johnny attempts revenge from Govind, he is humiliated, shaved and striped naked on the outskirts of Bombay by Govind and other residents. Johnny soon recruits two foreigners: Sadanana Kutty and Karim Khan Toofani in order to average his humiliation. Govind also attempts to help hawkers and Sole Traders and so befriends a savior, Ram Shevak and decides to build a market for them in order for them to put up there businesses. Soon it was found out that the plot of land and the owner were fakes and Govind gets all the blame and is called a fraud. He goes with the help of Ram Shevak to find out why he is called names and witnessed his sister being raped openly and he himself is beaten up and badly injured infront of the same residents whom he pitied and try to save. The questions remain: Will Govind ever recover to take revenge on his perpetrators? Will he be granted justice by anyone in Azad Nagar?

Stroryline: Meet Subhash Nagre – a wealthy and influential resident of Bombay. Subhash and his family are thrilled when Shankar returns home, in the company of a gorgeous long-legged young woman named Pooja, who he plans to marry soon. While Subhash adores both his sons, he shows his open disappointment for Vishnu, whose language, childish actions, and his affair with a Bollywood actress named Sapna are just few of his wrong actions. When Vishnu finds out that a Bollywood actor is attempting to start an affair with Sapna, he angrily guns him down in front of several witnesses. Subhash asks Vishnu to leave the house, and thereafter Vishnu is arrested and charged with murder. Then all hell breaks lose in the Nagre household when a politician named Motilal Khurana is killed, and the killer names Subhash as the person who hired him to do this killing. Subhash is arrested, and held in prison – there is no hope for him in the courts as he has been already been found guilty – not for this killing – but for acting as a power unto himself – a mafia-like Godfather – who metes out justice – when justice fails. Watch how circumstances force Subhash to come to terms that he no longer is influential and no one will come forward to assist him; Shankar is abducted and disappears, and the one who has hired to kill him is none other than his son – Vishnu.
